RE: Ida Cox Music Series to Feature the Randall Bramblett Band

TOCCOA, GA, August 7, 2023– Downtown Toccoa will be in for a musical treat when the Randall Bramblett Band takes the Ida Cox Music Series stage on Saturday, August 12 th . In addition to his solo work over the course of his illustrious 40-plus-year career, Bramblett has recorded, performed, and composed alongside rock luminaries like The Allman Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Winwood, Marc Cohn, The Band’s Levon Helm, Widespread Panic, and more.

Bramblett was born in Jesup, Georgia and has been called “one of the South’s most lyrical and literate songwriters” by Rolling Stone. The Randall Bramblett Band currently calls Athens, GA home.

Opening the show on Saturday will be Toccoa musician, Jimmy Scott. Scott will perform at 7pm with The Randall Bramblett Band taking the stage from 8-10pm.

The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, the show will be relocated to The Historic Ritz Theatre.

The remainder of the 2023 season includes:
August 12 – Randall Bramblett Band (Opening Act – Jimmy Scott)
August 19 – The Wobblers (Opening Act – Rock N Earl)
August 26 - Milkshake Mayfield

The Ida Cox Music Series, named after famed Toccoan Blues musician, Ida Cox, features free music in Downtown Toccoa every Saturday in June, July, and August. The music starts at 7:00 pm and the series lasts until approximately 10:00 pm each Saturday night. Bring a lawn chair to Downtown Toccoa and enjoy live music, food, and drink in a relaxing atmosphere.
