Juneteenth

On June 2021, President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law, establishing Juneteenth as a federal holiday.

The Toccoa Improvement Association in partnership with the City of Toccoa annually presents "Juneteenth: Celebration of Freedom" in downtown Toccoa.

During the daytime lineup, enjoy Vendors and Community Resources, Food, Live Entertainment and Black History (walking and driving tours).

This year the celebration will be held on Saturday, June 15th 2024. As a part of the Annual Ida Cox Music series on the same date, the headline performer will be Toccoa's own Scoot Teasley, a rising country music singer/songwriter and guitarist.

TIA was founded circa 1962 to promote diversity and equity in our city. For more information or to get involved email tocc.improv@gmail.com or follow their Facebook page.
